“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13.13
Love is the greatest, but it is good to know that faith also abides – it lives on, it bears up under duress, it stands when other things fall.
The famous Sunday School song says, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” I know lots of things about God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit because the Bible tells me. Most of the serious A.Knapp posts have a biblical base – the good news of Jesus, the promises God makes and keeps, the holy lists all are suggested from passages of scripture.
In addition, I have observed God at work for 40+ years and can boast that I “understand and KNOW the LORD, who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth” (Jeremiah 9.24). This category is about the personal experiences that reinforce my faith that (a) what the Bible says is really true, (b) the Bible accurately describes the world and all things in it, and (c) Jesus – the object of my faith – is the one true Lord and Savior of my life.
