This week has the last multiple of three dates (Sunday, 9/27/15 and Wednesday, 9/30/15) until December. Get ready for next week, when multiples of 5 show up!

This week there are two dates that have multiple cool things going on. The two dates are both multiples of three: 9/21/15 and 9/24/15.

Monday, 9/21/15 is also the month’s half-back day – go up 12 from 9 to 21 and then come back halfway (6) to 15.

And, Thursday, 9/24/15, is a Minus Subtract day, because 9 – 14 = -15

Two dates filled with multiples of three: Tuesday and Friday are 9/15/15 and 9/18/15.

Sorry, no additional, next, or bonus dates like last week.

 

This week has three dates whose month, day, and year are all multiples of three: 9/6/15, 9/9/15, and 9/12/15.

In addition (pun intended), 9/6 is an Addition day, since 9 + 6 = 15.

And the next (pun also intended) cool day is a Sequence of 3’s: 9/12/15.

Bonus fact: 9/9/15 is our anniversary. 43 years!

Today is the last cool number date in August. 8/23/15 is a Minus Subtract day because

8 – 23 = -15

Look forward to next week and next month because 9 and 15 are multiples of 3!

Saturday this week (8/22/15) is a half back day. Go up 14 from month 8 to day 22, then come halfway back (7) to year 15.

Maybe Jimmy John’s is having a sale this week in your neighborhood – any sandwich for $1. Not exactly a cool NUMBER date, but still, a cool event.

Sorry, but I have no identified cool number dates this week, other than today is my sister and dad’s birthday.

But take heart! Every week for the rest of 2015 has at least one cool number date. You can peek ahead if you like.

And 2016 has great promise! Powers of 2, 4, and 8, ten consecutive palindromes in June, and Christmas is on December 25 once again.

Welcome to August. Next Friday, 8/7/15 is an addition day; 8 + 7 = 15.

That’s it.  But one is more than none, like we had last week.

Spoiler alert – there aren’t any next week, either!

Once again, no cool number dates this week.

There is however, a cool medical date.

It turns out that I take injections, which are supposed to occur every other evening.  As the weeks and months slid by, it was much too hard to remember whether I had a shot last night or not.  The solution – inject on even-numbered days – 2,4,6,8, etc.

This method is close enough to “every other day” and has a positive mental side effect.  On months (January, March, May, July, August, October, and December) that have 31 days, I get an extra day off!  So no injection for two days in a row this week – July 31 and August 1.

Leap years are a bonus, since February has 29 days.  2016 will be special!
